Double lip, spring-loaded design

Rubber cover over metallic core for an excellent combination of sealing ability and corrosion resistance

The rubber elastomer outer covering tolerates thermal expansion as well as roughness in the housing bore

Because of the rubberized covering on the seal, there will be no fretting/galvanic corrosion of the metal bore that the seal is pressed into

This is a two-way seal, which means that it can retain lubricant and exclude contaminants simultaneously

The Viton seal offers high temperature resistance and is more resistant to abrasion than nitrile

Viton is also resistant to a wider variety of chemicals and acidic solutions than other seal lip materials
