Steel Bearing Block Backing Plates w/Dual Dupont® Teflon Seals

These backing plates are made from mild steel and are uniquely designed to fit select styles of Timken square flange bearing block units

The plate is placed on the shaft prior to mounting the flange block and mounts flush with the back of the housing and is secured by the same bolts used by the flange block

Please note the BP backing plates only fit QAF/QAFL/QMF/QMFL square flange bearing blocks that use either concentric or eccentric bearing shaft collars (Not available for tapered adapter or V-Lock® bearing units)

These plates use dual teflon seals to make 360° contact on the shaft to eliminate contamination migrating into the flange side of the housing and reaching the bearings primary seal

The backing plates T-Seals consist of a teflon sealing ring that is retained and floating in a metal case between two pieces of formed steel to accommodate shaft misalignment

Developed for higher-speed applications involving dirty conditions and/or moisture-affected areas, it is able to operate at higher temperatures and is impervious to most chemicals

Please make sure your input shaft is long enough to accomodate the backing plates added thickness in retrofitting applications
