UHMW stands for Ultra High Molecular Weight and refers to the weight and size of the polyethylene molecules that make up the tube of the hose.

Larger, heavier molecules are very impervious to chemical attack and permeation.

The result is that a relatively thin tube can provide excellent chemical resistance and a higher temperature range.

Chem Kong will handle 98% of common industrial chemicals and is much more flexible than G841 and other cross-linked polyethylene hoses.
