  • Rubber cover over metallic core for an excellent combination of sealing ability and corrosion resistance
  • The rubber elastomer outer covering tolerates thermal expansion as well as roughness in the housing bore
  • Because of the rubberized covering on the seal, there will be no fretting/galvanic corrosion of the metal bore that the seal is pressed into
  • This is a two-way seal, which means that it can retain lubricant and exclude contaminants simultaneously
  • The Viton seal offers high temperature resistance and is more resistant to abrasion than nitrile
  • Viton is also resistant to a wider variety of chemicals and acidic solutions than other seal lip materials
