When attaching couplings to corrugated hoses, banding coils make band application easier and neater by creating a smooth surface for clamping.

One banding coil can be cut in half to provide enough coil to couple both ends of a hose.

The coil is threaded onto the hose helix at each end prior to fitting installation.

Clamps are then applied over the coil and helix.

Any hose being used to transfer gasoline or gasoline vapors must be bonded to ground to prevent the risk of static build-up.

Assemblers must be trained to correctly bond the copper static wire to the metal fittings and test the conductivity
