Type B sprockets are the most commonly requested design, whether they be finished or minimum plain bore.
The plain bore shaft sizes are for those desiring their own machining options, whereas the finished bore is for those requiring an immediate drop in solution.
Finished bore sprockets require the user to provide the correct keystock for their application.
Step & rectangular keystocks are available if your existing shaft's keyway does not match the sprockets "industry standard" pre-cut keyway dimensions which are shown above in the specifications.
Finished bore hubs come with two set screws at 90° angles and one of them being centered over the keyseat.
Finished bore sprockets keyways are cut consistently in alignment with the center line of a sprockets tooth for those users with timing requirements.
Smaller sprockets are hardened to Rockwell C35-50 standards.
Larger sprockets are hardened to Rockwell C25-40 standards.
The depth of hardness is highly monitored enabling proper hardness of the sprocket tooth's working area.
