Unlike North American tube fittings, which rely on a flare for sealing, European fittings are designed with a ferrule which bites into the tubing when compressed by a threaded nut.
DIN 2353 bite type tube fittings were originally designed to be used with rigid steel tubing in hydraulic systems but are now used widespread in systems plumbed partially or completely with flexible hydraulic hose.
We sell our DIN adapters without the nuts and cutting rings, as the bare fitting will attach directly to female DIN 2353 hose fittings.
When ordering the same parts for use with steel tubing, 00163 nuts and 00263 cutting rings must also be ordered separately.
Please note, the Pulsar adapters are for general hydraulic use; Pressure ratings are dependent on size and thread design.
Whenever possible, elbows and tees are forged one-piece designs rather than braised from components; however, where manufacturing quantities are insufficient to warrant forging, parts are braised.
