In 1952, a milk truck driver in northern New York complained to chemist Julius S?mann about the smell of spilled milk in his delivery truck.
To address this issue, Julius combined fragrances with specialized blotter material whereby inventing the first car air freshener and gave it the shape of an abstract evergreen tree in honor of his years extracting aromatic oils in Canada's pine forests.
These air fresheners proved an efficient, high-quality solution to a common problem and were soon flying off store shelves. Orders started rolling in from all over the country and quickly gained a strong international following.
Julius' pioneering product has become a global symbol of freshness and quality.
While the first fragrances were Royal Pine, Spice, and Bouquet, the range expanded to include Caribbean Colada, Vanillaroma, New Car Scent, and, of course, Black Ice.
The product range expanded too; with the addition of other air freshening solutions like Vent Liquid and Vent Wrap. These additional products offer a choice in style while still delivering the same great fragrances that consumers know and love.
The Car-Freshener? Corporation is the company behind the Little Trees? brand air fresheners and are headquartered in Watertown, New York, USA.
