5200, 5300 series double row angular contact ball bearings share the same inner diameter, outer diameter and width as the 3200, 3300 series double row angular contact ball bearings.
Where they differ is how the chrome steel balls contact the inner raceways in each class of bearing.
The 3000 series 32° angular ball contact design will tolerate more axial (side thrust) load than the 5000 series while still carrying a moderate radial load.
The 5000 series 25° angular ball contact design will carry more radial (gravitational) load than the 3000 series but at the sacrifice of axial load capacity.
If you are considering substituting one design over the other due to availablility issues, the strengths and weakness of each bearing design must be considered before installing into your application to avoid premature failure.
