    Product Description

  • Compensating for accumulated tolerances is what a BHO retaining ring is designed to do in a housing/bore. Once snapped into the groove, bowed rings exert a force or "preload" on the retained parts for the range specified on the BHO size range chart
  • With regards to the less common BHO series retaining rings, only one size of the available 35 sizes is listed in this database and only in black phosphate. This is done so you are made aware that they are available for order should circumtances demand these types of retaining rings be installed in your machinery. As well, other finishes in this same series are available upon special request

    Alternate Finishes Available:
  • (BHO-H) Stainless Steel - PH 15-7 Mo is an extra strength corrosion-resistant stainless steel, capable of preventing atmospheric oxidation at temperatures up to 900ยบ F
  • (BHO-ZD) Yellow Zinc Dichromate - It affords the metal excellent salt spray protection (96 hours) and is particularly effective for applications exposed to seawater. This retaining rings zinc plated finish utilizes a mechanical plating process which effectively eliminates hydrogen embrittlement
  • (BHO-Z3X) Trivalent Chromate Zinc Plus Sealer
  • (BHO-ZF) Clear Bright Zinc
