    Product Description

  • The RG makes indentations on either side of the groove once installed which significantly increases its holding power. It can also be installed directly against the face of the retained part virtually eliminating end play. Automated installation using a Rock Kick Jr. pneumatic installation tool is recommended (Note; this product works only on "soft" shafts)
  • With regards to the less common RG series retaining rings, only one size of the available 7 sizes is listed in this database and only in black phosphate. This is done so you are made aware that they are available for order should circumtances demand these types of retaining rings be installed in your machinery. As well, other finishes in this same series are available upon special request

    Alternate Finishes Available:
  • (RG-H) Stainless Steel - PH 15-7 Mo is an extra strength corrosion-resistant stainless steel, capable of preventing atmospheric oxidation at temperatures up to 900ยบ F
  • (RG-ZD) Yellow Zinc Dichromate - It affords the metal excellent salt spray protection (96 hours) and is particularly effective for applications exposed to seawater. This retaining rings zinc plated finish utilizes a mechanical plating process which effectively eliminates hydrogen embrittlement
  • (RG-Z3X) Trivalent Chromate Zinc Plus Sealer
