Perhaps the most popular and widely used radial retaining ring is the "E-clip" (So named because it is shaped like the letter "E") Three prongs make contact with the bottom of the groove and provide a shoulder for effective retention of assemblies

With regards to the E series retaining rings, only the black phosphate coated (E-PA) and stainless steel (E-H) rings are listed in this database, however other finishes are available upon special request

Alternate Finishes Available:

(E-ZD) Yellow Zinc Dichromate - It affords the metal excellent salt spray protection (96 hours) and is particularly effective for applications exposed to seawater. This retaining rings zinc plated finish utilizes a mechanical plating process which effectively eliminates hydrogen embrittlement
