Product Description
Polyacrylate (Lip code: N) are well suited for use with extreme pressure (EP) lubricants and have higher resistance to oxidation and ozone than nitrile.
Resistant to sulphur commonly used as a grease additive.
Polyacrylate elastomers have good compatibility with higher temperatures up to 149°C (300°F), and even to 177°C (350°F) with some fluids.
They should not be used alongside water or other aqueous solutions.
Does not perform at temperatures below -40°C (-40°F)
Polyacrylates are not recommended for dry running applications.Rubber cover over a metallic core offers an excellent combination of sealing ability and corrosion resistance.
The rubber elastomer outer covering tolerates thermal expansion as well as roughness in the housing bore.
Because of the rubberized covering on the seal, there will be no fretting/galvanic corrosion of the metal bore that the seal is pressed into. Please note that not all product images are representative of the item being shown but are similar in appearance.
