Push-On fittings have aggressive barbs that are designed to work without clamps but ONLY on G103 Push-On hose.

They will not hold pressure on ordinary general purpose hoses.

Adding clamps when using Push-On fittings may cause premature failure due to cutting of the hose tube under the clamp.

For general purpose hoses or for applications where clamps are used, we recommend regular brass hose barbs.
