    Product Description

  • Silicone (Lip code: H) lip material has a wide temperature range in which it can operate and is typically selected for high to low temperature ranges as well as low friction applications.
  • The high lubricant absorbency of silicone minimizes friction and wear; however it has poor compatibility with oxidized oils, some extreme pressure additives and abrasive contaminants.
  • Silicone should not be used in dry running applications as the lip will easily tear and/or wear its surface down prematurely.

  • Rubber cover over a metallic core offers an excellent combination of sealing ability and corrosion resistance.
  • The rubber elastomer outer covering tolerates thermal expansion as well as roughness in the housing bore.
  • Because of the rubberized covering on the seal, there will be no fretting/galvanic corrosion of the metal bore that the seal is pressed into.
