  • NTN Ultage SAFD split pillow blocks have been designed, processed and machined by NTN team members in our state-of-the-art facilities. These rugged, ductile iron pillow blocks have a higher tensile strength and better elasticity than cast iron. Built to perform in the most demanding applications, ULTAGE SAFD can withstand the high load, shock, and contamination associated with the toughest industrial conditions. They are also well suited for extremely cold temperatures.

  • NTN Ultage SAFD split pillow blocks are uniquely designed with an X-support housing base for ultimate strength and improved heat dissipation. They include integrated flat spots for monitoring equipment as well as lubrication access points to accommodate grease and oil lubrication systems. The internal design allows for 22200 and the wider 23200 series spherical roller bearings, providing greater application flexibility. Serialized cap and base ensure for error-proof installation while hardened steel locating balls allow for quick and easy removal of the cap during maintenance. Premium grade 8 bolts secure the cap to the base for increased breaking strength in the upward direction.

  • SAFD units are available in shaft sizes of 1-15/16” to 7-15/16” with a tapered–bore design for easy mounting. The units can also be converted from fixed to float by removing the stabilizing ring. Sealing options available on the SAFD include the standard aluminum triple ring labyrinth seal, optional LOR seal with an integrated “O” ring between the shaft and seal ring, or, for the ultimate protection, a taconite seal.
