  • Hex head lag bolts are also called hex head lag screws and are recommended for all types of wood or metal to wood construction where standard wood or deck screws are too short or light and where nails or spikes lack sufficient strength. They can be installed in wood with pre-drilled pilot holes or in masonry with lag shields. Hot dipped galvanized (HDG) provides one of the highest degree of corrosion-resistance of all mechanically plated fasteners. Used in all exterior applications where prolonged exposure to the elements are present. Ideal for marine applications such as docks and piers as well as landscaping projects including decks, fences and all outdoor projects.
